Arizona offers a wide variety of both natural and man-made attractions to delight the taste of every adventurer! Join us on this unique journey where you will enjoy learning about the missions of Biosphere 2 as well as its unique place in history and spend time at the beautiful and majestic Saguaro National Park. Our first stop is Biosphere 2, once the world’s largest closed artificial ecosystem and which is presently an Earth science research facility situated just north of Tucson at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains. We’ll spend ninety minutes touring the facility and hearing about the scientific discoveries and contributions attributed to work at Biosphere 2. After that, we will travel 1,600 feet down in elevation and into the heart of the Sonoran Desert to Saguaro National Park for a picnic lunch amidst the shadows of the nation’s largest cacti, the Saguaro. Your Pink Adventure Guide will provide a guided nature walk through a portion of the 91,327 acres of pristine desert land that comprise the National Park. You’ll be entertained with facts and legends of this wondrous land, as well as the plants and animals that call this area home. After a fun-filled day, it’s back to Tempe for the evening’s activities!
